Scholarship
Guidelines
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come basis
(determined by postmarks) to assist applicants with the registration fee for
annual meeting of the UCCOSSN.
The annual meeting planning
committee and/or annual meeting registrar will determine the deadline for
applications.
Scholarship applications shall
be made in writing and cosigned by the applicant’s supervisor/employer.
A
person applying for a UCCOSSN scholarship should have tried one other
independent source of funding such as a women’s group within their
church/association/conference or the association within their
setting, in addition to
applying to the UCCOSSN Scholarship Fund.
Scholarships will be awarded to a person for two consecutive years,
after which there will be a one year waiting period before that person may apply
again for two consecutive years of
aid.
The Scholarship Committee (Treasurer and Vice Chair) in consultation
with the Executive Committee, will act upon aid requests
Scholarship money is funded through paid registration fees. Five dollars of each registration fee is placed in the Scholarship Fund.
